CHRISSY Rouse heads to his favourite track on the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship calendar this weekend and admits he can’t wait to get stuck in.

The Geordie is looking forward to getting back on his Morello Racing Kawasaki machine as the series hits Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire for its ninth round.

The iconic circuit has long been one of the maths teacher’s favourites and one where he has enjoyed some of his best results over the years.

This year, he is hoping to build on his previous results and is excited about getting back on track.

“I love Cadwell, I’ve always enjoyed racing there and it’s always one of my favourite rounds of the year,” he said. “It’s been two years since I raced a Superstock machine there so I’m eager to see how we can go.

“We tested at Cadwell earlier this year and we tried a few things which we all felt made a difference. I think there is potential for the Kawasaki to go well there so I’m hoping we can pick up where we left off.”

Rouse crossed the line ninth at Thruxton a fortnight ago and admits he is keen to improve his position this time out.

“I’m hoping we can hit the ground running when we get on track for the first time on Friday and get a good start to the weekend which should allow us to get a good qualifying position.

“Cadwell Park is always a special round because it’s such a unique track so I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in and hopefully I can improve my times and get another solid result.”
